Football season is just around the corner and cable networks are gearing up. The T.O. show premiers on VH1 Monday and HBO’s Hard Knocks Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals is just around the corner. Having watched Hard Knocks the last two seasons I can’t imagine these reality TV shows to be anything less than a distraction for players trying to get ready for the upcoming season. Even players who have had high profile girlfriends and have found themselves on supermarket tabloids and TMZ seem to have struggled on the field in recent years. For example, Tony Romo has been a disaster in December and January and anytime photos of him and Jessica Simpson in Mexico surface before a playoff game it’s bound to subject the player to even more criticism when everything falls apart. Well Tony Romo is no longer with Jessica Simpson which leads me to a great reality TV show idea.

Terrell Owens should hook up with Jessica Simpson and they should do a reality TV show together. Both have reality TV experience. Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey were on a popular show featured on MTV call the Newlyweds and Terrell Owens is on VH1 now. This would be a match made in heaven. Imagine the two sitting at a table at an outdoor cafe in Beverly Hills taking turns to talk about there breakups. T.O. with his relationship gone sour with Tony Romo and the Cowboys and Jessica about how she got dumped just before her birthday. What could possibly be a more compelling reality TV show than that?
